This is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education course, which is designed for those who teach yoga or are currently in training.

In this course we will:

  • Discuss the purpose of yoga from the ancient texts (YPLE)

  • Review principles for holding space, being fully authentic, maintaining integrity (YPLE)

  • We will discuss sequencing and cuing relevant to varied levels of student experience as well as capacity (TM)

  • We will discuss language and practices for maintaining a safe space for all within yoga classes (TM)

  • We will enjoy a practice that utilizes all of these principles (TTP)

  • Students will practice utilizing inspiration and safety in their teaching cues (TPP)

  • Students will receive a list, generated in the workshop, for their continued practice, continued study, and ongoing teaching.

Super Blood Wolf Moon w/ Total Lunar Eclipse - Workshop

So much going on in the sky. From time immemorial, humans have looked to the sky for information, for inspiration, and to spark visions of the future.

The first full moon of the year is called a wolf moon, because has been the time of year wolves are heard howling outside villages. The blood comes from the eclipse, a total eclipse visible in the continental US, which imparts a red hue to the moon.

Full moons are times to revel in the light, to nurture and relax. In my life, a red tint to the moon portents change. Big change, possibly a surge in abundance. Lunar eclipse portent a purge, a major letting go of what is no longer in our highest good.

This class will include yoga asana, with a hip focus, pranayama (breath work), visualization, meditation, and some writing — so bring your notebook.
