Yoga Nidra is a practice that is gentle and renewing. A little movement to loosen the body. A nice cozy place to rest. Some focused breath. A little moving the mind through the body. Plus a purpose or intention.

Often people sleep better after a practice. Or report feeling like they just took a nice long nap. In fact, you can nap and still benefit.
